Arabic Yemeni Silver Jambiya Antique Dagger With Fine Hand Made Belt And Mounts

A nice quality Yemen Arab jambiya. Silver mounts exquisitely decorated with filigree and beading. The dagger with traditional curved steel blade with central rib. The belt front woven with metallic silver wire, and adorned with several further silver mounts and containers. Dating to the 20th century. Middle Eastern Yemeni Jambiya, which is the name for the Arabic dagger. Comes with a very thick hand embroidered belt with intricate designs and ornate with brass hammered element with calligraphy scripts. The dagger is curved with a tick double edge blade, the handle is ornate with brass. The sheath is also very ornate with brass embossed in intricate designs. Measures: Dagger is 12,5″ long, belt is 46″ x 325. See pictures and judge it yourself. For Sale Fine 100 % Original 19th century or earlier Islamic Sham Shir Deep curved sword, multi grooved both sides of Fine Damascus / Woost 30-3/4 ” blade measured in straight line, hair over 1/4 ” thick, back edge has 5 gold panels, maker also in gold, no rust-pitts- nicks, beautiful fine woost pattern (much better than my pics). Center strap, pommel , all edges of woost mameluke guard inlaid with gold. Appears to have Tribal / Chieftains / Country coat of arms on guard. Antique holy Quran in Arabic from the 19th century with leather hardcover, rare! I guess that is printed in the 19th century in a Muslim country in the Middle East or Turkey. Holy book is in good condition, but there may also be some missing pages. The Qur’an is the format 180x125x30 mm /7.1×4.9×1.2 inches, weighing about 369 grams. According to the way and the paper on which was printed guess that’s of the 19th century. I do not know the exact year in which this Qur’an is printed, but I suppose it happened in the middle of the 19th century. An interesting book that brings the spirit and mood of an ancient sacred religion. This sacred to every Muslim book printed with beautiful font and great asset to every believer in Muslim religion. A most rare Royal Warrant plaque very sort after. Provenance bought from the Lord Hill Museum in Shropshire. With Anglo French Inscriptions DIEU ET MON DROIT which means “God & My Right” HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE translates to “Shamed be he who thinks evil of it”. This is the motto of both the British Monarch & the British Chivalric order of the garter. Hobbs Hart & Co London where An American lock-picker’s legacy makers of locks and safe makers. Makers To Her Majesty By Appointment. Hobbs Hart was founded by Alfred Charles Hobbs, an American lock dealer having famously picked the rival, previously regarded as impregnable, Bramah and Chubb locks at the 1851 Great Exhibition. He established the firm in 1852 as Hobbs and Company to manufacture locks based on his patents. By 1855 there was a factory at 33 Lawrence Lane, City of London with showrooms at 97 Cheapside. In 1860, following Hobbs death, John Matthias Hart took over management of the firm and began manufacturing safes and strong room doors. The company held a Royal Warrant from 1861 and supplied safes to the Bank of England. The firm was incorporated in 1887 as Hobbs Hart and Company Limited, the year Hart died.
